Stay at the Legendary House of Allan Ramsay of Ramsay Garden, located on Castle Hill. A beautifully restored house, within a 1 minute walk of Edinburgh Castle!

Being at the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, our property is a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with so much history & beauty.

The house is in a quiet and unique area, providing an epic experience.

We are at the top of The Royal Mile among the tourist attractions, historic eateries, cafes and bars.

The Space

The house is located over three floors.

You are welcomed into our front reception area with tartan armchairs and various historic decor immersing you into the Scottish culture.

A few steps up to the mezzanine level will take you into our bright, spacious living room full of character artwork, and an electric fireplace creating a cosy atmosphere in the living area.

Enjoy the panoramic views overlooking the city from our bay window seat or a home cooked meal with friends and family at our vintage dining table.

From the living area, you enter into the kitchen which is fully equipped and with an island top for enjoying your morning coffee.

All 3 bedrooms are downstairs as well as access to our private courtyard.

Please note the house is set up naturally with three bedrooms. There is a surcharge on the 7th and 8th people which included the cost of the sofa bed and linen in the living room. Please confirm if needed when booking.

The first front bedroom has a 4 poster bed and arm chairs looking out over the incredible city.

The second double bedroom is cosy, comfortable and has its own private en-suite bathroom with a stand alone bath tub.

The third bedroom is our very own special secret hideout – we promise you will love it!!

All bedrooms include crisp hotel quality linen, white fluffy towels and a starter bundle of complimentary toiletries.

The main bathroom is downstairs and includes a walk in shower.

If you need a travel cot, please request one in advance of your arrival. We do not provide the cot linen so please remember to bring your own.

The Neighbourhood

In the heart of the old town, right next to Edinburgh Castle on The Royal Mile. Located on the Mound, only 2 minutes from Princes Street.

All city tourist attractions are within walking distance from the House, and 10 minutes from The New Town.

Waverley Train Station is a 5 minute walk from the apartment.
